Her humane investigation tracks how these "truthers" caused further pain to grieving families who had already experiened far too much, and paints a chilling picture of the increasingly prominent role social media plays in such campaigns of disinformation--which don't stop at manipulating facts, but involve actively harrassing, intimidating, and threatening relatives of victims. While many fought back, many others chose to honor their loved ones in ways that felt best and right to them; neither should be judged for their decision. The memories of those lost are precious, and are not society’s to do with as it wishes.
