Join Bruce Beehler, author of Birds of North America: A Photographic Atlas and Birds of Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia, on a guided bird walk in the heart of Rock Creek Park. This bird walk will encounter an assortment of locally-breeding birds as well as the last of the spring migrants that pass through the D.C. area in May and early June. New date: Sunday, June 2nd, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

This summer, join Politics and Prose's perennial favorite: the wonder of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece, Fallingwater! We are leading a trip to the wooded area of western Pennsylvania where you can enjoy the harmonious surroundings of summer and explore the house known worldwide as a resonant feat of architectural achievement and a UNESCO World Heritage site! Saturday, June 29th from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

New Date: August 3rd, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We will leave from the Conn Ave Store.

See the "Thinker" sculpture in person and van Gogh up close. In the late morning, we will walk through the Rodin garden and see his art on display in the gallery. Then after lunch study color, lines, space and light in the works of Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, and Picasso at the Barnes Foundation. New Date: Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Join author and guide Lauri Williamson to explore the “other” Shaw neighborhood, East Shaw. This is not a tour of Washington’s “Black Broadway,” but a look at the broader Shaw history featured in her new book “111 Places in Black Culture in Washington, DC that you Must Not Miss.” On Saturday, September 21st, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
