Tom Nichols is Professor of National Security Affairs, US Naval War College. He is the author of The Death of Expertise (Oxford 2017), Eve of Destruction (2008), No Use: Nuclear Weapons and US National Security (2013), He is currently a Senior Associate of the Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs, a Senior Fellow of the Graham Centre for Contemporary International History at the University of Toronto, and an adjunct professor at the U.S. Air Force School of Strategic Force Studies.. He has also been a Fellow of the International Security Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

He is a five-time undefeated Jeopardy! champion, and as one of the all-time top players of the game, he was invited back to play in the 2005 Ultimate Tournament of Champions. Nichols can be found on Twitter at @RadioFreeTom, where he has close to half a million followers.

Nichols will be joined in conversation with Charlie Sykes, founder and editor-at-large of The Bulwark, host of The Bulwark Podcast, and an NBC/ MSNBC contributor. He is also author of nine books, including his most recent book, How the Right Lost Its Mind.
