Avi LeBeau is leaving home to attend Briarcliff Prep, a Historically Black Boarding School. While she is scared of the change, she knows she can rely on a current student—her big sister Belle. She begins to settle into school life with new friends (and foes), challenging classes, and maybe a cute tutor-turned-something-more. Meanwhile, Belle begins dating Logan, the big man at Briarcliff’s sibling school, Preston Academy. But something about Logan doesn’t sit well with Avi. And when Avi stumbles across the truth, her relationship with Belle is put to the test.
