Lily loves helping in Grandma’s beautiful garden. She and Grandpa help make sure everything’s growing strong. One day, Grandpa lets her in on a secret: pointing to an ant, he says that everything is a part of something bigger. One ant is part of a colony. One rain drop becomes part of the ocean. One star is part of the universe.
When Lily’s Grandma passes away suddenly, Lily struggles to deal with and understand her grief. She comes to realize that they are all part of something bigger - a family - and that LOVE is the biggest thing of all.

Kathryn Thurman is a writer and fine artist. Her first picture book A Garden for Pig was featured on Smithsonian’s website as one of the top ten children’s books about food. When she’s not writing or painting, she’s growing all kinds of vegetables and hanging out with her family and their pug, who wears wheels.

Romina Galotta graduated in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires. Her artistic inclinations led her to become a fruitful scenery and set designer for local theatre companies. She works both with traditional and digital mediums, is an ardent animal lover, a passionate foodie, and is happy to have family and friends scattered across the globe — the perfect excuse to fulfil her forever traveling dreams.
