A summer in a Tamang village: Watercolor Travel log (Paperback)
The watercolorist Swaze proposes you a trip to Nepal, in a village of Solukhumbu, near Everest. You will meet a Tamang family, one of the ethnic groups of the country: a return to the simple life of another time, punctuated by the work in the fields, the organization of treks and Buddhist ceremonies. A colorful discovery, with local recipes and everyday life anecdotes . The sales profits of this book will be donated to an association, to help buy materials for schools in the Loding area (Lower Solukhumbu, Nepal). A self-taught painter, Swaze has been drawing since childhood. In 2006, she discovered pastel. Then, after a trip to Cuba, in 2017, she made a first watercolor travel log. Her curiosity for the countries she visits and the customs of the inhabitants lead her to complete her watercolors with many informations. Swaze's travel logs illustrate the artist's sensitivity and affection for her guests and their country.
