Born in Seneca Falls, NY, Ann Delavan Harrop grew up in Des Moines. She spent 39 years as a Foreign Service wife in Africa, Europe, Australia and Israel. She and Bill, her husband of 67 years, have four sons and six grandchildren. Since 2009 they have lived in the retirement community of Fox Hill in Bethesda, MD. She is legally blind.
