Katy's Diary by Don Goodliffe

The reader meets Katy as an infant and follows her through life to the age of 75. On that journey we learn that Katy lives a very happy childhood while encountering a few bumps on the way to adulthood.
Her career as a cyber security expert uncovers several very difficult problems to solve while working at the Department of Homeland Security and later in her own business. Not the least of her problems is uncovering a plan by the Chinese government to take over the United States. That gets scary.
Katy and her husband Fred (named after Frederick Douglass) loved sailing and got away on their boat as often as possible.
The story takes place on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.
