Sharing Memories - Sharing Lives by The Tenley Writing Group

Sharing Memories – Sharing Lives reflects the life experiences of a small group of writers who have been gathering weekly at the Tenley-Friendship Library in Washington, DC for over three years. As a microcosm of the greater DC-Metro region, the group includes recent immigrants from across the globe, as well as longtime residents of the nation’s capital. They span three generations with varied backgrounds and professions. As embodiments of the human experience, its members have known tremendous joys, hardships, and wonders. Through their essays they have articulated memories from their journeys and shared them with one another. Having met regularly and listened to and provided thoughtful feedback on one another’s writing, they have become a community and created new memories as friends.
